THE SWAN

Sometimes you see something, someone, so captivating that they leap from a timeless story. This was the case during a performance of Swan Lake on the stage of Saint Petersburg’s Hermitage Theatre where an unknown ballerina captivated the audience with her achingly beautiful choreography set to Tchaikovsky’s timeless score. For a moment everyone in attendance stepped back in time to see a performance just like the ones seen by the crowned heads of state during the days of Imperial Russia.
